Had a 340 for a few years, it was a great little tractor to rake hay and move wagons. It always had hydraulic problems though, sometimes they would work and sometimes they wouldnt, i could never figure it out.. i guess this problem was very common on the 340. Yes you can put a different front end on it...some parts are easy to get like tune up stuff . tractor supply has a few things for these tractors. Mine had a wide front and i sold it for 1800...good luck
