Kelly, I’m going to throw a couple more things at you to consider. How long has it been since that block has had the water passages really cleaned out good? That’s what I thought. One thing that I didn’t notice anybody mention (since early today) in the reasons for a burned valve was poor water circulation resulting in hot spots in the head and block. It will also be a lot easier to do a good job replacing that rear main seal if the block is out. You will make the final decision, since it is your time and money going into it. My 2 cents
