Possible solution - You could fit a short piece of straight 1-3/8" I.D. radiator hose over your pipe and then place the pre-cleaner down over the hose and clamp it in place. This should give you about an 1-3/4" O.D. for your pre-cleaner fit. Don't think even the correct police would see that farmer fix.
