The model number or letter is likely shown on a decal on the side of the tractor's sheet metal on the front half of the tractor. The serial number plate's location varies depending upon model. Look for an aluminum colored plate about 1 1/2" high and 3" long, held on with two or four rivets. It may nave been painted over. Copy down everything that's on this little plate and take that information to the Case-IH dealer. If you'd post a picture of the tractor, somebody can likely tell you exactly where to look for the serial number plate. You could also take the old head gasket with you to the dealership and they could most likely get the right replacement for you.
