Not that I'm aware of. Lots of local farmers have sold their grain trucks and just pay to have a semi come in and haul. My brother in law has to pay the state $800 and some change for his plates every year. The recent govenor decided to double the rate. Heck, even the trailer fees are getting darn expensive. In Illinois the trailer fees are based on how many tons you and your hauler will carry. Dad was paying something just shy of $300 a year for plates. He reduced his rating to save himself about half.
