Kelly Every one understands money, so just thing of it as a 10$ bill. If it is a 0 to 1 inch it will be .ooo to 1.ooo if a 1 to 2 it will be 1.ooo to 2.000. So 1 inch is $10 $7.50 is .750 inch or 3/4 on the mike $5 is .500 or half way on the mike $2.50 is .250 inch or a 1/4 way. Each line on the thimble (or the part that turns) is 1 penny or .001 inch, each line on the spindle (or rhe part that dose not turn) is 25 cents or .025 of an inch. Not hard to read if you think of it this way.
