My experience alligns precisely with Bob M here. If the upper bushing is worn you need to check the shaft as well. Typically I find them to be worn about .010-.015" and fixing this along with the new bushing makes the old girl primo again. I weld the worn shaft area completely then have the local machine shop turn it down for me. Also I have managed to break the sector gear castle nut when removing as described. I now remove the castle nut and replace with a standard one before I smack it with the big hammer. good luck, DeWayne
