Dewayne - Your comment about the castle nut reminded me: I have removed the castle nut from the pivot shaft, turned it over and threaded it back on until it was flush with the top of the shaft before hammering on it. This protects both the pivot shaft threads AND the relatively delicate castellated face of the nut while banging on the shaft. Also....I too ran into a slightly worn bushing areas of the pivot shaft. Was able to compensate for this by inserting a piece of .005(?) shim stock between the OD of the bushing and the ID of the bushing bore as I drove the bushings in. This rendered the bushing ID's slightly undersize when inserted and compensated for the wear on the shaft. Thanks for pointing this stuff out! (it's been a few years...)
