I have removed the cylinder head on my Farmall 450 diesel. As I expected the head is cracked between valves on three cylinders. There was no compression leak into the coolant. I had a sticky third valve and the head gasket was starting to leak a small bit of oil. Atleast one cylinder has a crack deep enough to have cracked the seat. It"s not just a small hairline crack in the seat...it"s fairly substantial. Without magnifluxing, it"s hard to tell on two other seats. A rebuilt bare cylinder head is $750. What would you do? Is a person better off going that way or finding a place that will fix the head I have? I live in western MN
