You have a plain old 1951 McCormick W-6. To answer your questions, The "offset air filter" is a precleaner created by Donaldson. It was a factory option for all letter series tractors, standards, and industrials. Basically, if it is IH from 1940 to 1954, it might have it, it might not. There is no way to tell if it was there from the factory. I really don't understand the whole wheel thing. Most W-6's came standard with M front wheels. Only a select few came with the adjustable width wheels or the W-9 sized wheels. The farmer had to order those extra, unless it was one of the last few W-6's, which got them standard. Also, they aren't silly, as my 1951 W-6 has them along with 90% of the other W-6's. You don't hear us complaining about them. Your tractor is definitely not a Super W-6 because it was built in 1951. The Supers first came out in 1953 at the earliest. The hydraulics, again were another option. If it is an IH system, it will have the pesco gear pump on the distributor drive and a tank under the gas tank with remotes at the rear operated by a control valve to the left side of the seat. It was for the most part, dealer installed, or someone may have put it on. There is scarcely any difference between the W-6 system and the Super W-6 system, because it was live to begin with.

Since this can be extremely difficult, you may want to fabricate the item or purchase a modern replacement temporarily, but eventually, you s
