I have a "50 Super A that is well used but in very original condition. Several parts had been removed and came to me in a box. Among them were the headlight supports. The short one is obvious, but the long one had about a 30 degree bend in it about 1 and 1/2 inch from the end the inserts into the casting. The parts catalog shows the long rod to be straight - not bent. At first I thought perhaps the PO had hit something and bent the rod. But this week I saw the exact rod on e-bay and the seller says it came from a SA. Does anyone know if the bent rod was put some SA models? Was it used in conjunction with some type of equipment? In use, would the bar be oriented so that the headlight was in front or behind the radiator? I"m not an originality freak, but I would like to keep all the original parts on the old girl I can. Any tips to the puzzle are appreciated.
