Dash light on a 1948 cub?

I bought another cub and it was delivered today, It's a 48 model. There's a round thing about the size of a quarter sticking out about three inch's just above and in between the gauge's there's what looks to be a switch on the left side but is seized and is cut out toward the end on the bottom, also there is wire's connected to it behind the dash could it be a dase light? My other cub doesn't have it... Thank's in advance...
