H pulley differences

When I bought my '41H, it didn't have the belt pulley gearbox
and drum, it only had a cover plate. I was finally able to get my
hands on the gearbox - so all I need now is the actual pulley.

However, when I look in my trusty parts catalog, I find two belt
pulley attachments. Its not clear what the differences are
(although the earlier unit's graphic in the catalog 'looks' more
like the stock pulley).

So, can anyone educate me as to what the differences are so that
if I come across a pulley I know it'll fit.
