Jim: While I agree with you for the most part. Farming and trees never did mix. However the tree roots were a far greater risk for damage on ground working equipment than limbs were to an exhaust system. I can see the problem these guys are having using a belly mower around ornimental trees. It's one item I don't like with my Super A and Woods mower. However, even if you change the SA exhaust the tractor is still quite high. I'm thinking an 8N or a small Fergie would make a better lawn mowing tractor. At least my head and shoulders would not bear the asualt of those tree limbs. Remember Jim, on some items, "Ford did have a better idea."
