No sealer i do use the lube for the bearings around the top. The same stuff is used on the o-rings. The head gasket will keep them in place. I do use a cap screw and washer in a head bolt threaded hole to keep the sleeves from moving when the pistons and rings are installed in the next hole. I use the white stuff i get from NAPA for lube and use lots of it. I dont think it would hurt to seal the top ring around the sleeve with RTV or the black stuff as any excess will burn out when engine is started. I also paint the head gasket with hi-temp aluminium paint on the FEL-PRO gasket. Get them fron CAR QUEST.This is what i do and it has worked for me.
