John: Most of the 656 came from the factory with 15.5x38. It was never enough tire for those tractors. Even the regular clearence Farmall 656 looked low behind. I found my 656 drawbar was so low it was a nusance in the hayfield. I went to 16.9x38, mainly to give me better ground clearence under the drawbar. The part that pleasently surprised me was the tractors increased ability to pull especially in soft ground. Completely different tractor, in my opinion.
