Robert: Do you mean those poor little groundhogs that folks root out of their hole in the ground to see how the weather is. I lived close to Shubenacadie Sam most of my life, he never told me anything I couldn't feel. Now Wiarton Willie is not that far away, and I don't even keep track of it anymore. I know it was a nice day for tractor wrenching yesterday in my unheated shop. Today with snowflurries in the air it's less pleasant and by Mon. Canadian Weather Service is forcasting -9 C. Who knows after that. If those oil barrons keep cranking the prices, old folks like me will either have to hibernate with the groundhogs, skunks and bears or fly south with the birds.
