Mine was doing same thing after I put a new carb on it. What was happening is I had a very dirty gas tank that clogged my sediment bowl so I was draining the line, then it would quit. I"d stop, scratch my head and finally noticed my in-line fuel filter was refilling. after a whileI figured out why there was a standpipe in the sediment bowl assembly I replaced when I got the tractor.
Hopefully, it"s that simple.
