Farmall C Ammeter Question

Hi
I am in the process of rewiring my 1950 C, gonna convert it to 12v. Got all the old wiring off, now I can't tell which is + post on ammeter. Can't read it from the back, can't get ammeter out (without breaking something).
So....looking at the back of the ammeter right side up, which post is positive, left or right?
I'm hoping someone will have one sitting on their desk and just pick it up and tell me! Thanks
