i RARELY make a special trip. if i can't find it close by(which is rare), i usually know someone heading in a certain direction or if i know i'll be going that way in a few months where i found it i'll make arrangments for it to be held. i limit my searches to a few states where i know people. my parents for example are in WI so if i find a "good deal" they go pick it up and store it for me till either i visit them or they visit me.
