Do you have voltage at the coil while cranking the engine? If your're using a negative ground on your battery, the wire from the - negative terminal on your coil should go to the distributor. Pull the coil wire from the distr. cap and hold within 1/4" of a good ground on the tractor frame. Have someone attempt an engine start. Should have a hot blue spark. No spark, check for voltage at the coil when trying to start with the ignition switch in the on position. Make sure your wire connections on the points aren't touching a ground in the distr. Are you using a ballast resistor? Hal PS: You can run a wire from your battery directly to the coil. This would bypass your ignition switch.
