If I ever buy a tractor that is 12 volt, I will convert it back. Frankly, the alternators don't turn fast enough at idle to keep the battery charged. I have compared several charging charts for delco and other models of alternators. Most of them don't really start charging until they reach 3000 RPM. That is shaft speed. Can't seem to find a pulley for the alternator that does not require one to have to change the fan or crank pulley. There is really nothing wrong with the 6V systems anyway. Headlights mainly. I put sealed beams on my C and they are brighter than my dads Super C with halogen bulbs under the stock lenses. Brian
