Did you read my original post? We live in a modest apartment, I drive a $2500 car that is 12 years old, my wife has a $10k car because I want her in something reliable and fitted with modern safety devices because I care about her and her safety. We are paying off the credit cards that made it possible to move 1400 miles away from home to get jobs so that we could support ourselves. Money is my current consideration because I want to be sure that I don't end up relying on credit cards to get by. And I don't want to end up on some ridiculous government program. Sorry for trying to be sure that I can properly handle the financial obligation of a child.
