I"ve replaced thermostats in several H"s and M"s. Every one was corroded and impossibly stuck inside the gooseneck and had to be chiseled apart in order to be removed. Incidentally the AutoZone part #800-180 thermostat, while shorter than the OEM unit will fit and work fine in an H. The price is right too - about $4.
