Well ya know it was cold, then the electronic ignition module in the furnace went out, no way tol light ( thank goodness I have a add on wood unit). Engine heater on the 544D went out some time in the last 48 hours, had her plugged in since wed night and she was not 1 degree warmer than the air. Wife and kids train was 6 hours late for a trip to visit freinds in MI and they wouls have missed their transfer in chicago, we had already dropped her van off at the shop for some work. Soooo, after deciding to drive and renting rather nice car from Hertz, she was on her way. My 10 year old chessie has been gravely ill for a couple day, bring her in again yeaserday after all the fiasco's and am told she does have a massive tumer in her inerds and would never survive surgery. This dog has been the most loyal, protective, any kid loving, sweet mannered to old people, warning away strangers dog I have ever seen. I made the choice to put her down right away to spare her agony without talking to the wife and kids cause it will just ruin their trip. This morning I found out I have strep throat. what a day
