I think it came out in '53 for the Super C. Alot of the late Super C's I have seen have the hitch as well as most of the 200's (same hitch). Guy Fay might be able to help with production numbers for tractors with the optional hitch? If most of the tractors you have seen were C's and not Super C's that is why you haven't seen many, the hitch was never offered for the straight C. Only C's you will find with the fast hitch are one's that people like me bought from a salvage yard and mounted on an older tractor. The hitch is very usefull (with 3 angles of hydraulic control) and can easily convert to 3 pnt. The 230's have an updated design that is not interchangeable (as far as mounting the hitch), but the implements are the same. The smaller style fast hitch implements have 2 1/2" prongs compared to the 3" prongs for the larger tractors (the 300/400's that were introduced with the hitch in late '54, early '55).

I think you should just get rid of the old thing! It just takes up a lot of space and I'm sure your wife thinks it's competition for her. After all, who's more important? Don't you need 5" prongs anyway? I read in the latest magazine that 3" prongs really aren't as useful anymore. Any tractor owner worth his own salt would not get a 3" prong. Come on, get with it. It's the 2000s you know! Tractors are on their way out. Wives aren't. You can't take your tractor out to dinner.
