dph, I have driven lots of post with a driver on an H. Don't know if it was a shaver, but the one i used had spings that drove the post and hyd to raise it. It work well, would drive a cedar post as big as you could get in it if you sharpened it first. You had to becareful how far you raised it up as it would sometimes grenade the top of the post. The H worked good because we had it mounted on the front and the fence was next to a wooded area, so you could get in a tight area with it. I beleive the return line was a large rubber hose.
