My shift lever for the Heisler is about 15" long and appears to be a cast part. It is located near the forward left corner of the transmission cover or platform and is positioned up like the regular gear shift. It is connected to an adjustable link and crank arm which enters the transmission on the left side at about the same height as the level fill plug. The linkage is not flexible at all like the M&W appears to be in the photos I've seen here on the forum. If you need more info just send an email and I can look at the tractor the next time I am up at the carriage house and provide more detail. Hope this helps. Hal
