Now why would you want to remove sleeves and just run the pistons on the walls ???? and more then likely the filler rings will work loose and end up on top of a piston and or thru the block or head. What are you tryen to do get more pony power if this is the case then bore the block and install the 291 update then the block is rebuildable . Plus if you do bore it out to take the 301 piston the walls will be thin as the 301 blocks were made for the sleeveless and made for boring to .060 over and still have meat to bore and sleeve back to standard .
