I had one of these filters on another type of machine once that the mesh rottted and deteriorated. I took a small cutter on a die grinder [a dremmel would work better] and cut the spot welds on the screen that holds the mesh in. After cleaning everything, I rolled window screen mesh cut to the correct width, tightly around a piece of pipe that matched the pipe in the filter housing, to an OD slightly larger than the housing and then compressed it in. Then with low heat, spot weld the screen retainer back in the bottom. This is the only way I found to fix an air cleaner. The only alternative is to replace it with a dry paper filter assy off a later piece of equipment.
