I really don't think its as big as deal as everyone is making it out to be. Sure the government will be able to track your animals. You'll need to identify them properly. Thats not necessarily a problem. I raise cattle for a living. I know when every calf is born, when anything dies, when everything is treated and vaccinated. I know what animals were sold when and where. Everyone should be keeping those records for their own operation anyways. The government has been telling people where they can take animals anyways. There have been restrictions on brucellosis and other diseases and what must be done to transport them from state to state. I think that if we can show other countries that we have our animal production industries well managed they'll be more willing to import U.S. meat and that means an increase in prices for producers. I like the way it works out. David
