Yes, similar products are avalible. Check with your local ag oil supplier. I have used a Cenex product called Hi-Tac or Low-Tac or somthing in the 706 gas in a pinch. You didn't mention what engine you've got. If it's in the H and M family, or a smaller early 4-cylinder gas like a C-113 or a C-123, you really don't need Low-Ash. If your tractor has a C-200 or a six-cylinder, you definetly need Low-Ash or similar. Due to the way those engines are designed, more oil gets pulled past the valve stems and into the cylinder than in most other engines. If "regular" oil is used, it will leave carbon deposits on the valve seats, which causes poor heat transfer, and valve failure within a few hundred hours at full load. Now, punch out the numbers. 20 quarts in a 5-gallon pail. $65 divided by 20 is $3.25. IH six-cylinder gas holds 9 quarts. That's $29.25 plus filter every 100 hours. Bet you still spend more on oil changes for your car or pickup.
