Single Acting Hydraulic Cylinder for 49 H

I have found out that the snowplow attachment with my '49 Farmall H was custom built. However, I was wondering how the hydraulics work on the tractor. It has a single acting hydraulic cylinder that extends from the weight of the plow and retracts for the Farmalls hydraulic lines. I just want to know what and where the supply and return fittings are on the tractor and if anything should be done before opening the fittings.
