Let's see, how can I explain this......I'm just not too good with words. Mess it up every time. But those darned IH rowcrops are all alike if you really look at 'em and in the 06s, the 56s, the 66s and the 86 they pretty much all fell into two catagories; large and small. Nice part is if ya learn one tractor, you've pretty much learned 'em all in that particular size. Like this. The little guys have the square axle housings and their innerds are all "almost" alike no matter the model; 504s all the way up thru the 686s: The large chassis 706s up thru the 1486s had the six sided axles and they too were all built about the same inside:
