Unless it is a very new approach to oil control, There should be no overlap on the oil ring rails. The expander spacer (wavey spring)would bind on the double wide part of the scraper rail and cause excessive wear. The normal parts (from my experience) have end gap. I'll bet they are wrong. What brand are they, and is there a website that would assist the installation. JimN
