B Farmall Radiator

I recently purchased a new radiator for my B Farmall. Just put it on today and found that the overflow tube which comes out of the neck, is in the way of the grill. The grill is suppose to slip right over the neck and pretty much lays on top of the radiator.

I noticed on the old radiator the overflow tube comes out of the top tank on the backside towards the fan. If I cut the overflow tube off the neck, can I braze that hole? Pretty sure this is a brass tank. Also, can I drill a new hole at the top of the tank and braze the overflow tube there like the original tank? Anyone run into this situation before? How did it work out?
