Few years back, I was mowing our lawn. Looked over at a young magnolia tree, only planted the year before. It was bent almost double. When I investigated, found about a gallon or more of bees attached to the top twig of the tree. I called one of the local beekeepers here and it was fasinating to watch that operation. Those bees were very calm and in about 30 minutes, they were in a hive in the back of his pickup going to his house. He had protective equipment on when he started, but before long that came off and as far as I know not at sting.
