Myself i have never had a 706 LP but have had all the rest and have had ever nut and bolt out of them and can do them in my sleep . I farmed for i don't remember how may years with a rag 67 706 291 gasser and just loved that tractor it was so ugly that nobody would buy it but ran like a scalded dog i plowed with it with 4x16 710 plows and pulled a 13-6 370 disc and a 4 row planter with it and never thought that it was that hard on fuel all my old customers and friend have 706 gassers and run them everyday and one of them WAS a dye in the wool John Deere green Man and he would not part with the 706 now i keep them going by once a year give them a going over and tune up they always start and have the power and the weight for what ever we need to do with them . SO other then your fuel system i can help ya with the rest.
