Wow ,I don't know where some of these guys are getting running SMTA's in any condition for $1500 to $3000. I agree you could find a decent one 5 yrs ago for $2500 when a restored one was going for $4500 but tractor prices have shot up in recent yrs. If you have a wide front and everything works well but it needs tires and paint you should be able to get $4000 and maybe $4500. A real nice restored one will be up in the $8000 range. I know a bunch of guys will say thats a crazy price to pay and they are the same guys that said people were crazy for paying $3000 a few years ago have now missed out on the appreciation. Besides unless you have the time , skill and don't value your time you will easily pay north of $8000 for a professional restoration'
