Wade- In late 80's & early 90's I got "snake bit" several times by a big bucks industrial customer using "bad gasoline", apparently stuff with MTBE or a chemical cousin. Brand new plugs I put in several days later appeared to be "pristine", no sign of any problem. But, they were shorted out and would not make a spark. Brand name had little to do with it. Going up a couple of heat ranges got rid of most of the problems. My point here is that all sorts of BS tales and personal opinions about spark plug brands get involved, but the origin of most problems is in matching spark plug heat range with the actual usage of the machine. Most of us YT people need the higher numbers. Very few are pulling a 3-16 plow thru hay ground behind our old Farmall now... Try changing your fuel source and see what happens. It probably can't get worse from what you got now.
