There is a couple things also that may be the cause of this , points bounce due to a woren bushing in the dist points out of adjustment due to the lack of a dab of grease on the fiber tab on the points leaking intake incorrect timming all I H timming is set at full throttel and for full advance not having the correct dist. have seen alot of this . and unless it is spun on a dist. strob ya have know idea on just what it is doing could be a weak coil . weak cond. and just because it is new does not mean that it is good .
