No telling what it is or where it came from... As long as all of the hydraulic functions work, I wouldn't worry much. Mabey cut the old filter open and see what's all stuck inside. Change filter again in about 50 hrs and see if you have more pieces. If you don't know when the last time the fluid was changed, or it's been longer than a year, you should change it.
