I have spent some time on a 574 gas as well as a 504 or 544 Hydro. Of all the red tractors I"ve driven, these are not my favorites. In some ways the 574 is nice. As noted before, it has P.S., good brakes, nice power for the size, etc., but it is clutzy in some ways. The hydraulic levers are in a goofy place, and the governor seemed sluggish. I"m not a fan of the unerneath exhaust, either. I"m sure others will disagree with me, but it just wasn"t my favorite tractor- not as handy as I would have liked. Still, it"s well made and reliable. Don"t get me started on the 504! Paul
