Besides a larger engine, major differences are the Super M is geared differently (is faster in 3rd and 4th gears) and is equipped with disc brakes. The Super M also has a heavier timing gear train to accomodate a live hydraulic pump. Stages of Super M production, first to last:
Stage 1 - transmission drive (belly pump) hydraulics
Stage 2 - engine drive (live) hydraulics
Stage 3 - live hydraulics + torque amplifier. This is the Super MTA.
