Nebraska Cowman---F-20 Wizard

Dear Mr. Cowman, How smoothly should an F-20 idle? I have a friend who has two beautifully restored tractors. They have new pistons, valve jobs, and rebuilt carburetors and magnetos. They pull great but idle rough. He was convinced this was normal until we met an old man with a rusty old 20 that idled as smoothly as a bathtub. Should they idle as smoothly as an H? If your answer is yes what has been overlooked?
