Behlen Hi Speed Box Removal.

Having trouble removing Behlen Model 20-100 HI Speed add on box on my F-20. Took cover off and cant get lower big gear from to slide forward. It looks like she should just slide out but gets binded up. Can this unit be removed without further dismantle? What am I doing Wrong?
