Mike: The parts book shows a photo of the 4 bottom 412 with mechanical lift, not great detail as the photo is from wrong side. It looks like telescope type rod back along top of plow with a hinged linkage to the pivot point of fast hitch. Here are a list of the parts 1. arm lift, 2. clevi chain, 3. clevis w/chain, 4. pivot bell crank, 5. bellcrank transport rear wheel raising, 6. rod lift, 7. pipe lift, 8. grease fitting for lubricating bellcrank, 9. pipe chain stifener and 10. washer, chain indicator -2-. It looks as though most of this is right at front of plow with items 6 and 7 going to rear wheel. I'd say one of these being a rod and solid, slides inside the pipe lift and telescopes within.
