Internation 504 engine question

I know I posted this in the general discussion forum but I wanted to post it here as well.

I have a 1963 International 504 Utility. This morning while driving down the driveway I could hear the engine missing. I tooled around a bit and put it back in the shop when I discovered a plug wire wa s loose. I fixed the plug wired and fired it up and of course now it didn't miss. As I took it for a spin I could hear a ticking noise now coming from the engine. Especially when it was under a load like taking off. It was much more faint when idling. What should I do? Any insight would be a great help. Thanks!!
