"Don't want to invest a lot of money," and an aftermarket 3pt are mutually exclusive terms. There's no "cheap" aftermarket 3pt. They start at $500 I guess, but I've personally never seen a new one for less than $600. Used ones are far and few between, and bring almost as much as new ones unless you can find some old farmer who doesn't know what he has. If you find a used one for half price of new, you are truly lucky and should jump on it. Also, these 3pt hitches have serious limitations. There is no depth control, so plowing is nearly impossible. They also have limited lifting and pulling capability due to the fact that the tractor is not designed to carry loads where the 3pt hitch is attached. Mowers, york rakes, back blades, carry-alls... That's the kind of stuff you'll be able to use. Plowing the back 40... Forget it, you need a fast hitch for that.
