Sharkey: I was the one that mentioned the gas tank mounted higher. I have not checked the parts numbers but as close as I can tell from looking at the C & SC at threashing shows, the gas tanks are the same except that the mounting bracket is taller on the Super. About 1 1/2 inches. I think a thin flat plate could just be added to make it mount higher. On the front grill it seems that the extra heigth was added just above the hole for the hand crank. I have a '48 C with a water pump..(it was an extra cost item in my parts book) I would go for flat look to the tank\hood\top of grill as an up sloping tractor doesn't look quite right.. harvey
